Direct ink writing technology (DIW) was used to fabricate polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) with complex three dimensional structure. The rheological characteristics of the printed materials were tested and the DIW platform was then accordingly developed, with the screw valve as the precise and quatitative ink extrusion device. The screw valve speed was tuned by developed PID algorithm to study the effects of printing speed, standoff height and screw valve speed on the line width. The established printing parameters were usedto fabricate PDMS based 3D structure rapidly and precisely. |
